Aamir Khan calls Salman Khan a ‘better actor’; praises his emotional performances

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has openly admitted that Salman Khan is a better actor than him, specifically highlighting his emotional performances. In a recent promotional video for 'Sikandar', Aamir engaged in a candid conversation with Salman and director AR Murugadoss, where the two actors playfully debated their acting skills.
Aamir’s honest confession
During the discussion, Salman playfully asked AR Murugadoss to judge who was the better actor, more hardworking, and more sincere between the two. Before the director could answer, Aamir interjected, calling these traits “all the boring things” and went on to praise Salman’s acting abilities. He said, “Sir, actor also, he is better. Have you seen Dabangg?”

Murugadoss supported Aamir’s statement, saying that Salman excels in emotional scenes, particularly when it comes to crying on screen. The director noted that Salman can cry naturally without the use of glycerin. Aamir, known for his method acting, added, “I also do without glycerin.”
Salman’s lighthearted response
Salman responded to Aamir’s praise with his signature humor. He joked, “It’s because of you, sir. I used to see you and was like, look at this guy, whole Sikandar’s bojh (weight) is on his head. He has to go back to his wife and child and then come back in the day again and tolerate me on set.”
Murugadoss further emphasized Salman’s ability to perform well in close-up shots. He pointed out that while acting with co-stars helps bring out emotions, it is much harder to deliver strong emotions in a solo close-up shot.
A reunion of talent
While Sikandar marks Salman’s first collaboration with AR Murugadoss, Aamir and the director share a history, having worked together in the 2008 blockbuster Ghajini. Their camaraderie and mutual respect were evident during the discussion, making the exchange all the more entertaining for fans.
Sikandar’s grand release on Eid
Meanwhile, 'Sikandar' is set to release on March 30, coinciding with Eid. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. Salman took a moment to appreciate Rashmika for managing the demanding shoot schedules of Sikandar in Hyderabad while also working on Pushpa 2 alongside Allu Arjun.
