Aamir signs Fatima Sana for next production

Aamir Khan, who has been on a voluntary sabbatical from the movies, is now gearing up to grace our screens again and fans can't wait. The actor had taken some time off post the debacle of his movie Laal Singh Chaddha last year, and post that, he has just been at home, spending time with his family, reading scripts and giving time to his production house.

Now, as per a report in Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan has signed his Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh for his next production, which will be helmed by Advait Chandan, who earlier directed Secret Superstar.

The yet-untitled film is said to be a breezy comedy drama and will feature an ensemble cast. The report also states that currently, Advait is fine-tuning the script and production will commence in the first half of 2024.

Coming back to Aamir's sabbatical, recently, at an event, Aamir talked about the moment when his kids

and Ira told him that they too have a life, and that they can’t devote all their time to him. The actor said at News18 India’s ‘Amrit Ratna 2023’ event that after one and a half years, his children sat him down and explained, "You have always been an extreme person. When you were working, you were only working. And now you want to stay only with us. There is a middle road that normal people follow. We too have a life and we need time for ourselves."

Aamir further said that he was venting his anger on cinema because he thought this is what has pulled him away from his family. So, he was needlessly venting anger at the cinema and himself. He told everyone at home that he is done with his work. Now he wants to spend his time with family.

Aamir also recently announced that his daughter will tie the knot with her fiance Nupur Shikhare early next year, and the actor is certain that he will cry a lot during the ceremony.
