Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have been in the news for their alleged rift for Prabhas starrer 'Spirit'. It was being reported that Deepika was approached for the part but eventually things didn't work out and Triptii Dimri was cast in the film.
Several anonymous sources said that it was the actor's demands which led to things not working out.
Reports also suggested that one of the demands kept by Deepika was that she would only work eight hours a day and this comes after she's now a mom to baby girl Dua Padukone Singh.Ajay Devgn and Kajol launched the trailer of their film 'Maa' today. While Kajol stars in it, Ajay is the producer. When a journalist asked them about their views on this eight hour shift since social media is abuzz with these reports and Deepika's exit, here's how Ajay reacted.
First Kajol said, "Well, I love the fact that you can work less." However Ajay apologised for interupting her and said, "It's not that it's not going down well with people.
Most of the honest filmmakers will not have problems with it. And apart from this, being a mother and working for eight hours, most people have started working eight-nine hours shifts.”He added, "It's person to person, and I feel most of the industry understands this."
Meanwhile, things seemed to have gotten worse between Vanga and Deepika as the 'Animal' director shared a cryptic note which read, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, you've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are.... Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?"
