' ever since the makers dropped the trailer. Finally, Alia addressed the fan theories and comparisons between her movie and Ranbir’s 'Animal'.
At a recent press meet in Delhi, Alia was asked if she feels professional competition with Ranbir.

Kapoor. She expressed how fortunate she feels to have Ranbir as both her best friend and a talented actor. The couple often discusses their films and scenes with each other. “I feel very fortunate that my husband (Ranbir Kapoor) is also my best friend and a wonderful actor. We often discuss our films and scenes with each other,” she stated. Alia shared that she talks to Ranbir about her projects like 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'Jigra', while he seeks her input on his upcoming film 'Animal'.

The 'Raazi' actress addressed the comparisons between her film 'Jigra' and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal', clarifying that there aren't many similarities between the two. She explained that while both films share the theme of doing something for a loved one, this is a common element in many movies and is part of a larger genre. “It’s not just about 'Animal' or 'Jigra'; a common theme in many films is doing something for a loved one. It’s a genre in itself, and many movies have been made on these lines,” she emphasized. Beyond that, there are no direct parallels between these two films.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, became a box-office hit in 2023. It follows the story of a son and his unconditional love for his father. Meanwhile, 'Jigra' focuses on a sister-brother bond, where Alia Bhatt plays the brave sister of Vedang Raina’s character. The film is set to hit theaters on October 11.
