', has made an official
announcement
of his
collaboration
with
Hollywood star
Iain Glen.
Today, August 22, Anupam Kher shared a video on Instagram featuring Iain Glen, best known for his role as Jorah Mormont in
Game of Thrones
. In the video, Kher playfully says to Iain, "Iain, our picture got leaked yesterday and went viral.
So why don't we let people know what you're doing here?"
In response, Iain Glen shared that he was in India to join the film Tanvi: The Great and expressed his excitement about the project. Anupam Kher responded by expressing his delight at having Iain on board, mentioning that he had seen much of Iain’s work. They also reminisced about working together on the British series Mrs. Wilson.
Kher revealed that he had called Iain to offer him a brilliant role in Tanvi: The Great and was grateful that Iain graciously accepted. Iain, in turn, mentioned that it was his pleasure. Kher then welcomed him to India, and the two of them concluded the conversation with a warm ‘Namaste’ together.
Sharing the video, Anupam wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: Ladies and gentlemen! Since our picture went viral from the sets of #TanviTheGreat yesterday, both #IainGlen and I decided to announce to the world our collaboration for the film.”
Kher added, “On a personal note, I feel delighted and privileged to have #Iain act in my directorial venture. I have been an admirer of his brilliance on stage and on screen, and of course, of #GameOfThrones! Thank you, my friend! Jai Ho! #TanviTheGreat #GameOfThrones #MagicOfCinema.”
In the comments section of the post, Iain Glen shared his happiness, saying, “Anupam is a very special man. It’s impossible to spend any time with him without your view of the world being enriched. I’m so happy to be part of his film, #TanviTheGreat.” Talking about being in India for the first time, he said, “And my first time in India. A beautiful country with beautiful people.”
'Tanvi: The Great' marks Kher's second directorial effort, following his 2002 debut 'Om Jai Jagadish', which featured an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahima Chaudhry, Urmila Matondkar, Tara Sharma, and Waheeda Rehman.
Apart from this, Anupam Kher will also be seen in the YRF Production 'Vijay 69'. The film is in the post-production phase and is scheduled for a direct-to-digital release.
