Australia vs New Zealand Highlights: Australia got the better of their Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand in their World Cup match in Dharamsala on Saturday, clinching a five-run win.

After a century from Travis Head led the Aussies to 388, Rachin Ravindra led the New Zealand run-chase with a resilient century. New Zealand needed 19 runs off six balls to win, but an excellent fielding from the Australians saw the five-time champions clinch the win.

Tom Latham at the toss: “We are going to bowl. Early start, reasonable surface, there may be something early with the new ball because of a day game. Jimmy Neesham is in for Mark Chapman who has a calf niggle. Adapting quickly to what is in front of us will be key.”

Pat Cummins at the toss: “Looks like a good wicket, might be something in it early. Travis Head comes in for Cam Green. They are a team we know really well, but they know us really well too. Excited to get going. Try and set up a big score.”

Australia XI: David Warner, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis(w), Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins(c), Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

New Zealand XI: Devon Conway, Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham(w/c), Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult

Australia vs New Zealand Preview: Australia skipper Pat Cummins believes Saturday’s World Cup clash with New Zealand will be a battle between “mates” as the push for semi-final places enters a critical phase.

Five-time champions Australia are back on track for a last-four spot having won three matches on the trot after an unimpressive start which saw them lose their first two games.

New Zealand, runners-up in the last two World Cups, have the better record so far with four wins from five games.

Australia, however, have the upper hand when it comes to clashes at World Cups over the years, winning eight of the 11 match-ups.
