Balki on ad shoot: SRK was on set before Big B

Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan recently joined forces to star in a

commercial

for a popular masala brand. Shah Rukh Khan was so eager to work with Amitabh Bachchan that he arrived on set before the legendary actor did.
In a new interview, director

R Balki

shared an interesting behind-the-scenes tidbit about the shoot. R Balki mentioned in the interview with Radio Nasha that, ‘They came together on the day of the shoot, and it was a straightforward arrangement. Shah Rukh expressed, 'Please ensure I'm on set 10 minutes ahead of Amit ji. Delay him if needed. I must be there 10 minutes before him, no matter what.’
In fact, Shah Rukh Khan was willing to come as early as 7:30 am if that suited Amitabh's schedule. However, the director suggested starting at 2 pm, to which Shah Rukh agreed and said he'd be there at 1:50 pm. As a result, Shah Rukh Khan arrived half an hour before Amitabh Bachchan, ready and excited for the shoot. The two iconic actors had a great time on set, even directing each other at times, making it a fun and memorable day. They shot for 12 hours, and their camaraderie was a delight to witness.
In the commercial itself, Amitabh and Shah Rukh play themselves. They are seen leaving their respective vanity vans, looking forward to enjoying biryani at home after the shoot. However, they are mobbed by paparazzi who distract them by yelling ‘Alia’( Alia Bhatt) and pointing in one direction. Seizing the opportunity, the two superstars make a run for it, sneaking away from the photographers.
