Exam dates and shifts for BPSC AE 2025
According to the notification, the BPSC Assistant Engineer examination is scheduled to take place over three consecutive days — July 17, 18, and 19, 2025. Exam pattern and details
The BPSC AE 2025 recruitment examination will include a total of six papers, out of which four are compulsory and two are optional, depending on the engineering discipline.Compulsory papers:• General English• General Hindi• General Studies• General Engineering ScienceAll the compulsory papers will be in an objective format.It is important to note that the General English and General Hindi papers are qualifying in nature.
Candidates must obtain a minimum of 30 marks in each to have their remaining papers evaluated. Failure to meet the cutoff in either of these two qualifying papers will result in disqualification, regardless of performance in other sections.Optional papers:The optional papers will also follow an objective pattern and will vary based on the candidate’s engineering stream:• Civil Engineering• Mechanical Engineering• Electrical EngineeringCandidates will be required to select their respective stream-specific optional papers during the application or exam process, as per the guidelines.
