CBSE Class 12 result 2025 declared:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results on May 13, 2025, following the conclusion of examinations that ran from February 15 to April 4, 2025.

A total of 17,04,367 students registered for the Senior School Certificate Examination, out of which 16,92,794 appeared and 14,96,307 passed. This year’s overall pass percentage stands at 88.39%, reflecting a marginal increase of 0.41% compared to 2024’s 87.98%.In terms of gender-wise performance, girls continued their tradition of outshining boys with a pass percentage of 91.64%, while boys stood at 85.70%.

The gap between the two remains significant at 5.94%. Notably, transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate, an impressive improvement from 50% in the previous year. A total of 1,11,544 students scored above 90%, and 24,867 students achieved over 95%. Among Children With Special Needs (CWSN), 5,280 out of 5,668 appearing candidates passed, with 290 scoring over 90% and 55 scoring above 95%.Southern regions dominate top rankingsAmong the 17 CBSE regions, southern and western zones led the way.

Vijaywada secured the highest regional pass percentage at 99.60%, followed closely by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%. The Delhi region was split into East and West zones, both of which recorded high pass percentages—Delhi West at 95.37% and Delhi East at 95.06%.

When combined, the overall Delhi region registered a pass percentage of 95.18%, with 2,91,962 out of 3,06,733 students passing.Variations across the countryWhile some regions celebrated near-perfect results, others lagged behind. The lowest pass percentage was observed in Prayagraj at 79.53%. Noida (81.29%), Bhopal (82.46%), Patna (82.86%), Dehradun (83.45%), Guwahati (83.62%), and Bhubaneswar (83.64%) also recorded below-average outcomes.
