The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has officially released the results for the Class 12th board examinations for 2025. With more than 16.9 lakh students anxiously awaiting their final scores, the results reveal key statistics across various regions.

The pass rate for CBSE Class 12th exam stood at 88.39%. This year, the pass percentage has witnessed a surge of 0.41% from last year.The Bhubaneswar region, covering the states of Odisha, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh, posted a pass percentage of 83.64%. Notably, girls outperformed boys with a pass rate of 86.30%, compared to the boys’ pass percentage of 81.42%. In addition to Bhubaneswar, several other regions across India reported strong performances. Students who appeared for the exams between February and March are now able to access their results online via platforms like DigiLocker, UMANG app, and the official CBSE websites.

Students can follow the instructions below to download their marksheets through DigiLocker:Step 1: Visit the DigiLocker Portal or Download the App

  • Website: www.digilocker.gov.in
  • App: Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store

Step 2: Sign In or RegisterExisting users can log in using their mobile number or Aadhaar-linked credentials.

  • New users must register with their mobile number and verify it using an OTP.
  • Set a 6-digit security PIN for account access.

Step 3: Search for CBSE Documents

  • Use the search bar or go to the “Issued Documents” section.

The UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance) app is another government-run digital portal, designed and maintained by MeitY and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). It offers citizens access to over 1,200 services from various government departments, including education.

  • Download the UMANG App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Open the app and log in using your registered mobile number. New users must register and complete OTP verification.
  • On the homepage, search for ‘CBSE’ under the Education category.
  • Choose ‘Class 12 Results 2025’.
  • Enter your CBSE Roll Number, Admit Card ID, School Number, and Date of Birth.
  • After successful validation, your Class 12 marksheet will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download or take a screenshot for reference. The digital document is stored in-app for future access.

The CBSE Class 12 results highlighted significant regional disparities. Vijayawada topped with a 99.60% pass rate, followed by Trivandrum (99.32%) and Chennai (97.39%). Bengaluru, Delhi West, and Delhi East also showed strong performances. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar (83.64%) and regions like Noida (81.29%) and Prayagraj (79.53%) indicated areas needing further academic support.
