01/4December is a month of clashes
There is an adage which says ' Save the best for the last' and it seems movie business takes this line very seriously. As we come to the end of the year, the month of December has not one but three movie clashes lined up, probably the highest number of in a month since a very long time.
02/4Sam Bahadur and Animal
Sam Bahadur was first to lock 1st December as its release date, while Animal was supposed to come on August 11, but due to post production issue the movie moved to December ending in a clash. While Animal will see Ranbir Kapoor in a new seen before avatar, Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who helped India win the 1971 war against Pakistan and carved out Bangladesh.
03/4Yodha and Merry Christmas
These two films are somehow karmically attached, Yodha had locked December 15 for itself but in July makers of Merry Christmas also announced the same date for its release. And last month Salaar announced that it will come on 22nd December with Dunki, fearing that they will only get one week of run time in theaters, both films in span of few days decided to come one week early, thus clashing again on 8th December.
04/4Salaar and Dunki
Dunki was always coming on 22nd December and Salaar was locked for 28th September, but due VFX issues the makers of Salaar had to postpone its release. Back then it was being said that the makers will either come in November or in January but they shocked everyone when they decided to lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan who already has delivered two Rs 1000 crore hits in the same year and is riding high on success.
