Delhi Nursery Admission 2024: The Directorate of Education, Delhi has released the schedule for General category admission for classes - Nursery, KG and Class 1 in private schools in the city.
The application process for the nursery admission for the academic session 2024-25 will begin on November 23. The last date to submit the application form for Nursery admission will be December 15, 2023, and the first admission list will be out on January 12, 2024.
All private unaided recognized schools that admit children at the pre-school, pre-primary, and/or Class 1 Levels are required to reserve 25% of their seats for students from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)/Disadvantaged Group (DG) category.
The schools have also been asked to upload their admission criteria on the Directorate's website - edudel.nic.in by November 20, 2023. "Thus schools may ensure that the information uploaded on this Directorate's website is accurate and corresponds in totality with the information on their own website," reads the official notice.

Age Limit
The DoE has also set the minimum and upper-age limit for admissions to the academic session 2024-25. For admission in pre-school (nursery), pre-primary (KG), and Class-1, the minimum age requirement, as of March 31, is three years, four years, and five years, respectively, as specified in the notification. These entry-level classes also have an upper age limit, with admission eligibility being under four years, under five years, and under six years for pre-school, pre-primary, and Class-1, respectively.

Prospectus and Processing Fee
The notification has clearly stated that parents are not obliged to purchase a school prospectus along with the application form, and schools are prohibited from compelling parents to acquire a prospectus or imposing any processing fees. The only acceptable fee from parents is a non-refundable admission registration fee of Rs. 25.
