'Devara Part 1' gets a pan Indian release
The highly-anticipated pan-India film 'Devara' has been released in theatres today. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, stars Jr NTR in the lead role and it has the actor appearing on screen after over two years. The high-on-action film also stars Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor as well. The film has already crossed the Rs 60 crore mark through its advance bookings for the opening day.
The Telugu film 'Devara Part 1' is all set for its release in theatres today, September 27. Directed by Kortala Siva, the movie features Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles and the rest of the cast includes Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko, Shruti Marathe, Kalaiarasan among others. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and all the four songs in the film received a moderate response from the audience. The movie is an action drama set against a coastal drop and follows the story of a fearless man Devara. The movie portrays the rivalry between Devara and Bhaira and how after Devara's demise, his son Vara who has taken over the legacy manages to protect his people. The movie has already grossed Rs 60 crore with pre-sales and advance ticket booking in India and has grossed $2 Million in North America. The film censor board certified the film U/A after making four modifications to it, including cutting down violence in three scenes. The movie will run for 3 hours 10 minutes. The film is made with a budget of Rs 300 crore. The movie has a huge anticipation and it has created a record by grossing more than $1 Million in North America and it has sold more than 26,000 tickets in the USA. 'Devara' is the first Telugu film that has sold more than 15,000 tickets in such a short span of time. The film's theatrical rights for the Hindi version has been sold for Rs 45 crore.
