A
meteor shower
is poised to grace the skies over the United Kingdom,
Daily Star
reported.
The annual
Draconid meteor shower
will cause shooting stars to fly through the night sky. The Earth is set to clatter through the debris of comet 21P/ Giacobini-Zinner.
The report suggested that enthusiasts hoping to witness this spectacle should turn their gaze skyward from Friday night, October 6th, to Tuesday, October 10th.
The meteor shower is anticipated to reach its zenith between Sunday, October 8th, and Monday, October 9th, the report noted citing the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
However, the report also said the quantity of shooting stars visible to observers is contingent upon which part of the comet's trail Earth traverses.
