His wife, Hiba Fawad Chaudhary confirmed his arrest in a post on X, formerly Twitter, where she said, "Fawad arrested and taken to an unknown place." Geo News quoted her as saying her husband was arrested by police and men in plainclothes, and "we haven't been told why he is being arrested."
