', a cinematic masterpiece directed by K Asif, was one of the most expensive productions of its time, plagued by delays due to its grand scale. Raza Murad on Remaking Mughal-E-Azam

Raza strongly believes that 'Mughal-E-Azam' should never be remade, as any such attempt would end in failure. He shared his profound respect for the original creators, saying, "I believe God had sent Madhubala, Asif, and Prithviraj Kapoor on a mission. Their mission was to make Mughal-E-Azam. Soon after the film, they all went back to him." Notably, Madhubala, K Asif, and Prithviraj Kapoor passed away within twelve years of the film's release.
