The
69th National Awards
ceremony took place today in Delhi and all the winners including Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon,
Allu Arjun
, R Madhavan, SS Rajamouli among others were elated to receive this honour from the President Of India, Droupadi Murmu. Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her contribution to Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoorwas present at the ceremony to cheer for his wife Alia Bhatt and he won hearts! It was heartwarming to see Ranbir being a proud husband and just being there to support Alia.

He was also seen taking a video of hers when she received her award. What was further adorable, was that Alia was seen wearing the same saree today, that she wore for her wedding. WATCH how Ranbir took Alia's video:
That's not all. Ranbir also won the internet with the way he was protective of Rehman. The media and paparazzi were clicking pictures and Waheeda was seated in the first row. As they were leaning forward, he stoop up as a protective gesture towards her and asked the paps to be careful.
Later, Ranbir and Alia, along with Pankaj Tripathi (who also won a National Award) were seen posing with the legendary actress. Rehman was also slightly emotional while receiving this honour and got a standing ovation from everyone.
Alia also shared some pictures with Ranbir, Kriti Sanon and Allu Arjun on her social media.
The actress revealed that she wore the same saree as her wedding day because what's special once, can be special again!
