ICSI issues CSEET 2023 exam day guidelines: check important instructions

(ICSI) has issued guidelines for candidates who are appearing for the

Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test

(CSEET) 2023 examination.
Candidates who have registered for the exam are required to follow through the important instructions announced by the exam authority.

Important exam day instructions

  • Candidates who are appearing for the exam, are required to use the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) or SEBLite browsers on their desktops and laptops for commencement of CSEET. Candidates without the SEB will not be able to start the exam.

  • Candidates are required to log in to the Test portal 30 minutes prior to the given commencement time. Candidates will not be permitted to join the test if 15 minutes have passed after the test has started. Further, they will have to complete the test within the stipulated 90 minutes from the commencement time.

  • Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements for the CSEET:
    i) Have SEBLite properly installed on a Desktop/Laptop meeting the necessary technical requirements.
    ii) Ensure a stable internet connection, avoiding hotspots or mobile networks.
    iii) Use a fully charged laptop or a desktop with power backup.
    iv) Follow all instructions during the examination sincerely.
    v) Take part in the Mock Test and keep SEBLite installed until the CSEET is complete.

  • In order to qualify, candidates are required to fulfill the following criteria:
    i) Secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper (Paper-1, Paper-2, Paper-3, and Paper-4 individually).
    ii) Attain 50% marks in total across all papers to pass the CSEET.
    iii) No marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

  • Candidates are prohibited from using electronic devices like mobile phones, earphones, headphones, or any other gadgets, including pagers, digital diaries, calculators, Bluetooth devices, palmtops, smartwatches, and health bands during the course of exam. Referencing books or using paper, pen/pencil, writing pads, notebooks, etc., are also forbidden.

  • Candidates are not allowed to have anyone else present in the room during the examination, or take photographs of the screen or any test materials, read questions or answers aloud, leave the workstation without submitting the test, or divert their focus away from the screen.
