JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) has taken a significant step in bolstering international

academic collaboration

by inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with

DAAD Germany

(Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst/German Academic Exchange Service) to facilitate

faculty exchange

programs between

IIT Jammu

and esteemed German Higher Education Institutes.
An official spokesperson of IIT Jammu stated, "The MoU signing ceremony was held at the German Embassy in New Delhi, where Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director of IIT Jammu, and DAAD Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Michael Harms, formally exchanged the MoU documents, solidifying the commitment to enhancing academic exchanges between the two nations.
"The German Ambassador to India, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, also attended the event."
IIT Jammu's spokesperson continued, "This collaborative effort underscores the shared commitment of India and Germany to strengthen their ties in higher education, fostering increased academic cooperation."
