Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj did not start well as Pakistan openers Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique got off to a solid start. Mohammed Siraj struck back as he trapped Shafique LBW with a straight ball and then Hardik Pandya got rid of Imam-ul-Haq to bring India back into the contest.

At the time of writing this piece, Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan were at the crease as the Indian spinners were trying to wrest back some control. For India, Shubman Gill was back in the playing XI and he replaced Ishan Kishan. Pakistan went in with the same playing XI.

“It is a dream for us, and all of us are going to experience it is. It is not going to change much, dew will also be a factor so we want to chase. We want to keep striving for the best, and come out and play every day. We want to start well and play well, and do our best. It’s the most important factor, keeping yourself relaxed, keeping the atmosphere relaxed,” India captain Rohit Sharma said at the toss.
