During the initial few overs of the Pakistan’s innings, India’s star batter Virat Kohli realised a minor error. He was wearing the traditional jersey featuring white stripes on the shoulder, instead of the designated tri-colour one for the World Cup. Kohli realised this mistake and rushed off the field to change into the correct jersey before resuming play.

The jersey India wore during the Asia Cup and the series against Australia featured white shoulder stripes. But for the World Cup, there have been a few alterations made by Adidas, the official jersey maker of the Indian team. The three white shoulder stripes have been replaced with India’s tricolour design.

Additionally, the World Cup jersey will not bear the Dream 11 logo, since ICC regulates only the team’s name in the centre of the jersey.
