Gill has been recovering from dengue that he suffered last week, and eventually missed India’s first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan.
According to a report in News18 CricketNext, Gill batted on four different tracks and faced bowlers like Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami in the nets, along with throwdown specialists too.

Gill did not face any issue while batting as he was in control while facing seam and spin, including an attempted reverse sweep against Ashwin.
India skipper Rohit Sharma too provided a positive update on the 24-year-old, saying that Gill was “99 per cent” available to face Pakistan on Saturday.
“Shubman Gill is 99 per cent available, we will see tomorrow,” Rohit told the media in Ahmedabad on Friday.
Shubman Gill has been in impressive form in ODIs this year, having amassed 1230 runs from 20 matches at an average of 72.35. This includes five centuries, the latest of which came against Australia in the second ODI in Indore in September.
India and Pakistan are currently placed third and fourth in the World Cup points table with four points from two matches, with only net run rate separating the two sides.
