 'It's very scary'

John Abraham has been getting a lot of love for his recent release '

The Diplomat

' where he plays the role of a real life Diplomat

JP Singh

. In the last few years, John has been making some really unique choices with movies which make a difference rather than just the commercial potboilers. While he's been trying to make

good cinema

, the actor has now admitted that he's really worried for the film industry.
He spoke about the current state of Hindi cinema and expressed worry. "“It is very, very scary. As someone who looks out for the

Hindi film industry

, I am very worried. I am not saying that I am the flagbearer of doing something different, but I am saying that there are few of us who want to make a difference," said John in an interview with

Bollywood

Hungama.
He added, “I am a commercial hero! You put me in a commercial setup, and I will hopefully bag it through, but I am saying that when we want to make a difference, we should be allowed and be given the freedom to do that. That final bridge where we get that extra buck to do what we want to, if that comes through then we as an industry can grow. Because we are making good films now and I know everyday someone writes an obituary about our industry but we are making good films."
Meanwhile, John is really happy that his film 'The Diplomat' is getting a lot of love. Even at the box office, it's done decently well as it's about to touch Rs 30 crores now. The film also stars Sharib Hashmi, Sadia Khateeb, Kumud Mishra, and Revathy alongside John.
