The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially announced the schedule for JoSAA Counselling 2025. This centralised counselling process facilitates admissions into premier engineering institutions across India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). As per the schedule released, the registration process for JoSAA counselling round 1 will begin on June 3, 2025. The counselling will be conducted primarily in six major rounds. The seat allotment results for each round will be published online on the official website - josaa.nic.in.
JoSAA Counselling 2025: Key Dates and Events
The counselling process is set to commence on June 3, 2025, with the following schedule:
- June 3: Start of candidate registration and choice filling.
- June 8: Filling of Architecture Aptitude Test-specific choices begins (post AAT result declaration).
- June 9: Display of Mock Seat Allocation-1 based on choices filled by June 8.
- June 11: Display of Mock Seat Allocation-2 based on choices filled by June 10; candidates can lock choices.
- June 12: End of registration and choice filling; auto-locking of choices.
- June 14: Round 1 seat allocation results; online reporting begins.
- June 21: Round 2 seat allocation results.
- June 28: Round 3 seat allocation results
- July 4: Round 4 seat allocation results
- July 10: Round 5 seat allocation results
- July 16: Final round seat allocation for IITs and NITs

JoSAA Counselling Eligibility Criteria
To participate in JoSAA Counselling 2025, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
- Qualified in JEE Main 2025 for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
- Qualified in JEE Advanced 2025 for IITs.
Additionally, candidates aiming for architecture programs must have cleared the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT).
Required Documents for JoSAA Counselling
To participate in the JoSAA counselling 2025, candidates are advised to keep the following list of documents prepared.
- JEE Main/Advanced Admit Card and Rank Card
- Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Valid Photo ID Proof
- Passport-sized Photographs
