Amidst the buzz around the new film, some are already drawing comparisons to the Godzilla franchise, thanks to its towering creatures, explosive visuals, and some tense scenes that seem to replicate each other. Although a decade has past since director Gareth Edwards made Godzilla, fans couldn't help but notice some scenes that look like they could have been inspired from the 2014 film.

Set five years after the chaotic fallout of Jurassic World: Dominion, the film sees Earth’s ecology turning hostile for dinosaurs, forcing the remaining species to retreat into remote, equatorial jungles that mimic the habitats of their prehistoric past. But these isolated ecosystems hold more than just danger — they may contain the biological key to a revolutionary medical breakthrough.Scarlett plays the role of Zora Bennett, a covert ops specialist tasked with leading a high-stakes mission to extract DNA from the three largest remaining dinosaur species. Joining her on this mission are Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid and Jonathan Bailey as paleontologist Dr Henry Loomis. Also starring in the film is Rupert Friend as a pharma rep with his own motives. The supporting cast also featuring Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.

Jurassic World: Rebirth stomps its way into theatres worldwide on July 2.
