's cricket captain, Kane Williamson, expressed his excitement at the prospect of returning to action after a lengthy injury layoff as he prepares to lead his team against Bangladesh in a crucial World Cup clash set to take place in Chennai on Friday.

Speaking about his return, Williamson shared his enthusiasm, saying, "It's been quite a journey but largely a good one that's had some really good progress, and, you know, I've said a number of times, really excited to be named in the World Cup squad, be sitting here now, and really excited at the prospect of tomorrow."
The New Zealand skipper acknowledged the challenges that lay ahead in this highly anticipated World Cup encounter, saying, "A new venue, new opposition, as we know, which always happens in world events. And we're looking forward to the challenge."

Kane Williamson, 33, is a seasoned campaigner in one-day international cricket, boasting an impressive record of 6,554 runs at an average of nearly 48.
