Karan Johar is back with season 8 of his chat show. The filmmaker turned host is known to make his guests spill secrets about their lives, meanwhile, what's endearing is that Karan also doesn't shy to pour his heart out on the show. The upcoming episode will feature Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday and during the section, 'Ask Me Anything', Karan made revelations about his friendship with
Kareena Kapoor Khan
and Kajol.
He recalled the time when he had a fall-out with Kareena after she refused to do 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' in 2003. As per a Mid-day report, Karan has shared on the show, "We didn’t speak for a year-and-a-half. It was only when my father [the late Yash Johar] was diagnosed with cancer that she called me. She was silent, I was silent. She was like, ‘I don’t know what to say.’ I told her, ‘Don’t say anything, I know you are there.’"
Karan further added that when his father passed away, she was in Bangkok but the moment she landed back from her shoot, she went to his house. They kept chatting all night and it all went back to how it was.
Similarly, Karan had a fall-out with Kajol when
Ajay Devgn
's directorial 'Shivaay' had clashed with 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. They didn't talk for about two years. When Karan's children, Yash and Roohi were born, he just sent their photos to Kajol and told her, 'You don't need to reply, but these are what my children look like.' But Kajol texted back, 'I'm full of love right now.'
A month later, Kajol texted Karan saying, 'It's my birthday, you don't have to come.' But Karan went, they hugged and they cried. It was all done and they finally were back to being the closest of friends.
Kareena and Kajol both are going to appear on the show this season. While Kareena will be seen with Alia Bhatt, Kajol will be coming along with cousin
Rani Mukerji
