Kartik Aaryan to grace Koffee with Karan 8

Ever since Karan Johar has dropped the first teaser of Koffee with Karan 8, the buzz about his guestlist has been making headlines. The newest member to join the speculation squad is Kartik Aaryan. The actor had a fall out with the filmmaker during the shoot of Dostana 2 and looks like they will use the couch to spoke about their differences. Read on to know more about Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan’s friendship turned feud, which is likely to revert to friendship again!

It all started when Karan Johar roped in Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan for Dostana 2. The duo dished out fiery chemistry offscreen, setting the mood for the much awaited movie. Back in 2021, soon after the duo shot for the movie, buzz about a fallout between Kartik and KJo was reported. Commenting on the controversy, Dharma Productions stated, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence - we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D'Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.”

Kartik took a long time to react to the fallout and stated that when there's an altercation between two people, the younger one should never speak about it, which is why he never addressed the controversy. He denied leaving Dostana 2 because of money and stated that there was a gap of one and a half year and some pre-planned changes had taken place in the script, which could not happen.

However, as time passed, Karan and Kartik started warming up to each other. Karan congratulated Kartik for Shehzada trailer and the actor reciprocated the same.In 2022, videos of the duo chatting away at an event had gone viral on the internet, while earlier this year Kartik and Karan were spotted exiting a building together, sparking speculations of a possible collaboration.

Looks like Karan Johar is all set to invite Kartik for a heart-to-heart chat on his show Koffee with Karan. According to News18, the duo will clarify their public feud and address reports about their differences on the show. There is reportedly ambiguity over Kartik’s appearance on Koffee with Karan 8 but if all goes well, then this will be Kartik’s second appearance on the show. He was a guest on KWK6, when he graced the couch with his Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon.
