Taking a poster from the film featuring Mohanlal riding a motorcycle, the department shared a modified version on their official Facebook page with the caption: “Let the journeys continue after wearing a helmet. Two-wheeler riders must always wear a helmet."

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum hit the big screens on April 25, 2025, and was met with an exceptional Day 1 box office collection of ₹5.25 crore (India net), according to early estimates by the Sacnilk website.
The Malayalam version saw an impressive 62.27% occupancy on its opening day, with night shows hitting a staggering 84%. In cities like Kochi and Kozhikode, the film witnessed near-housefull attendance, with Kochi recording an eye-popping 99% occupancy during night screenings.
‘Thudarum’ marks the comeback of Mohanlal after a series of underwhelming movies. Although his recently released ‘Empuraan’ raked in huge numbers at the box office, the responses towards Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial were quite mixed.
