Kesari 2 fails to beat weekend numbers of Sooryavanshi and Sky Force

, has earned Rs 29.25 crore in its first three days, placing it mid-range among his theatrical releases since the pandemic. While it hasn’t matched the highs of some recent hits, it marks an improvement over several underperformers.

leads the pack with a strong Rs 62.25 crore collection, making it the highest-grossing Akshay film post-pandemic. It's followed by Ram Setu, which earned Rs 56 crore in six days, and

Sooryavanshi

, the first major post-COVID hit for Bollywood, with Rs 50.79 crore.
Kesari 2 fares better than titles like Selfiee (Rs 10.5 crore), Sarfira (Rs 12 crore), Mission Raniganj (Rs 12.6 crore), Khel Khel Mein (Rs 14.04 crore in 4 days), and even Raksha Bandhan (Rs 28.16 crore in 4 days). It’s also not too far behind Samrat Prithviraj (Rs 39.4 crore), Bachchhan Paandey (Rs 37.25 crore), and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (Rs 40.8 crore in 4 days), all of which had wider commercial appeal.

Kesari 2, adapted from the book The Case That Shook the Empire, has earned praise for its serious tone, compelling courtroom drama, and strong performances by Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday. While it may not be a blockbuster yet, it reflects a positive shift in audience interest toward content-rich narratives.The film is holding out strongly in North American circuit as the film has earned about Rs 6.69 crore till early Sunday evening and should cross Rs 7 crore mark by the end of the day.
