Mumbai: To help students prepare for entrance tests for various professional courses conducted by the State’s
CET Cell
and also to help them map their careers, the state’s
higher and technical education department
launched the
ATAL
(Assessment, Tests and Learning) initiative. The
ATAL initiative
will help students explore their capabilities through
mock tests
and
psychometric tests
.
While the mock tests will familiarise them with the CETs, help them improve their time management skills, and develop an effective exam strategy, the psychometric tests promise to offer scientifically proven
career guidance
covering over 560 career options with backup career plans.
The ATAL initiative, which will be available for all students on the CET Cell’s portal at cetcell.mahacet.org, was launched by the higher and technical education Minister
Chandrakant Patil
on Wednesday, in the presence of CET Cell Commissioner Dileep Sardesai. The link has already gone live on the portal.
Patil said that the portal will help in boosting students’ confidence for the entrance tests. Additionally, the educational opportunities in different subjects and preparation for entrance exams will reduce the stress faced during exams and encourage progress in their academic life. He said that the initiative will not be limited to exam preparation but will also provide educational support to students.
