MUMBAI: The state government will introduce Japanese, French, and German languages at the first-ever Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to be established in Chembur, Mumbai, exclusively for students from the Scheduled Caste community, according to Mumbai's Guardian Minister, Mangalprabhat Lodha.
"The language courses will be introduced in December, offering students opportunities to seek employment abroad," he mentioned.

On Tuesday, the state cabinet approved a Rs 54 crore proposal for establishing an ITI exclusively for boys and girls from the SC community. The funds will be allocated from the social justice department's budget, currently under the purview of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. These funds will be utilized to provide infrastructure, staffing, and teachers for the courses. The institute will offer instruction in ten commercial courses, with two classes dedicated to each course.
This initiative is expected to not only provide valuable skills and language proficiency to the Scheduled Caste community but also open doors to a broader range of employment opportunities globally, contributing to their socio-economic development.
