Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor returning from the original film. She shines with her calm strength. Neena Gupta brings her special charm and weight. Meanwhile, seasoned actors like Anupam Kher and Pankaj Tripathi fill the film with warmth and gentle laughs.Movie review‘The Times of India’ shared a balanced take on the film. The movie review read, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don’t quite add up, feel uneven and don’t know where to end.
After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched. You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper."Still, it also pointed out why the film clicks in today’s times. The review said,“There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."Will it hold up next week? With new films like ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ and ‘Maalik’ releasing this Friday, all eyes are on how ‘Metro... In Dino’ holds up at the box office. For now, it has managed to keep a steady run and won hearts with its take on city love stories.
