The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has launched its 2025 recruitment drive for 67 Food Safety Officer (FSO) positions in the state’s Public Health and Medical Education Department. Registration opens on 11 July 2025 and will close on 10 August 2025, accessible via the official portal at mppsc.mp.gov.in. The announcement, under Advertisement No. 04/2025, provides opportunity for graduates specialising in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Medicine, Chemistry, and related disciplines. Successful candidates will be offered a monthly salary ranging between ₹36,200 and ₹1,14,800, along with other applicable state government allowances. Reservation benefits extend to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates, with a nominal application fee of ₹250 (others ₹500).
A correction facility will be available from 16 July to 12 August 2025 at a fee of ₹50.
Eligibility criteria for MPPSC FSO recruitment 2025
Interested candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to appear for the FSO recruitment examination:1. Age LimitCandidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Madhya Pradesh government norms:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer)
- Women (MP domicile)
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
2. Educational QualificationsApplicants must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in any of the following recognized disciplines:
- Food Technology / Food Processing / Food Engineering
- Dairy Technology / Biotechnology
- Oil Technology / Agricultural Science / Veterinary Science
- Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemistry / Medicine
Degrees must be from a recognised university or institution and should be approved by a competent authority such as the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) or equivalent.
