New era of Asian pop gearing up for 2025 debuts

While in the past few years, K-pop has dominated the world, however, there has been a lot of new talent emerging from various parts of Asia especially China and Japan. In 2025, music fans can expect fresh debuts from K-POP, J-POP, C-POP and more, each bringing in their own unique style and flavour to the global stage. Let's have a look at the groups that have had a pre-debut and will be gearing up for the big stage this new year.

I.MET.U

Members: Kelly Kim, Lea Navvab, Yerin, Cleo, and Yuting

The girl group formed through the survival show "Time Turner" is set to debut in early 2025. Their first group performance had taken place on December 27th, 2024.

Members: Saena, Sio, and Aran

The group comprises former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran, with their highly anticipated debut slated for the second half of 2024. However, potential challenges may arise due to opposition from the Korea Management Federation (KMF).

The group (A Love I Can't Explain) is an upcoming British boy group which is set to debut in 2025. The BBC One show "Made in Korea" showcased the process behind the formation of the group.

AtHeart

Members: Michi, Sorin, Seohyeon, Katelyn, and Aurora

The members were revealed over the past few months of 2024, and each will showcase their unique personalities through their personal social media accounts. They are scheduled to officially debut in the first half of 2025.

BLINGONE China

Members: Sandy, Ranee, Katrina, Cassie, Zuni, and Chloe

This is the second unit of BLINGONE and were created through the "Click The Star China" audition. They follow BLINGONE-PE (Peru) who have three members. The group's official debut is set for the end of January 2025.

ChoCo2

Members: Anpan, Yunji, Gwenda, Meiyi and Hinata

Apart from these 5 members, the company is currently holding auditions to find additional members. While their debut date remains unknown, the group is set to promote in both the United States and South Korea.

Hi-Hat Girls

Members: Hwayeon, Jiwoo, Rahee, Gayeon, Chaewon, and Seoyul

The Hi-Hat Girls (Hi-Hat Trainee / Unofficial Name) is a 6-member South Korean pre-debut girl group that are set to debut in early 2025.

IWU

Members: Sulhee, Chaerin, and Shion

Agency: MOAI Entertainment
