On August 12, 2024, the Ministry of Education unveiled the ninth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presiding over the event. Established on September 29, 2015, the NIRF provides a comprehensive approach to assessing and ranking educational institutions in India. This framework evaluates institutions based on five main criteria: Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR); Research and Professional Practices (RPC); Graduation Outcomes (GO); Outreach and Inclusivity (OI); and Perception (PER).
In the NIRF Rankings 2024, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi bagged the first position, followed by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research and Christian Medical College.
