The National Medical Commission (NMC) has opened applications for the recruitment of retired government officials for full-time contractual positions in its office based in New Delhi. The available posts include Consultant (Audit and Accounts) and Consultant (Accounts). Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications by April 21, 2025. The age limit for applicants is below 64 years. Selected candidates will be posted at the NMC office located at Pocket-14, Sector-8, Dwarka Phase-I, New Delhi-110077.
The remuneration for the posts will be based on the formula: last pay drawn minus pension, along with a transport allowance, as per prevailing government norms.

NMC recruitment 2025: Post-wise eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet specific educational and professional criteria based on the post:
Consultant (Audit and Accounts):
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.
- Must be SAS qualified or have completed the Cash and Accounts course from ISTM.
- Eligibility: Retired Accounts Officers/Senior Accounts Officers from Pay Level 9 to 12 (Central Govt./Autonomous Bodies/Deputy Controller of Accounts).
- Should have an Audit, Accounts, and Finance background.
Consultant (Accounts):
- Retired Government Officials at Pay Level 9 with experience in Finance, Accounts, and Budget.
- Or, retired at Pay Level 11 with three years of regular service in related fields.
NMC recruitment 2025: Experience requirements
Applicants for the Consultant (Audit and Accounts) position should have:
- Minimum three years of audit experience.
- Experience handling DDO responsibilities.
- Familiarity with purchase procedures for works, goods, and services.
- General knowledge of balance sheets and tax laws.
- Understanding of Income Tax rules applicable to salaries, contractors, and professionals.
- Working knowledge of the GST Act, including CGST, SGST, and TDS under GST.
- Experience in preparation of pay, allowances, TA/LTC, and medical reimbursements.
- Capability to vet financial proposals for procurement and project execution.
