NEW DELHI: An incident at a brewery in
Chula Vista
led to a lockdown of the Otay Ranch Town Center after gunshots were fired. Authorities reported that one individual sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while two others were apparently injured in the incident. The suspect, who was described as wearing a black and red sweatshirt with "Olympian High School" on it, remains unidentified and at large, according to some media sources.
Three people were harmed in the occurrence, and the Otay Ranch Town Center was placed under lockdown due to the gunfire.
The suspect, who was reportedly dressed in a black and red sweatshirt featuring "Olympian High School," has not been apprehended and is still on the loose.
"At 7:16 pm CVPD responded to reports of a shooting at the Novo Brazil-Otay Ranch Town Ctr. Officers found 3 victims with non-life threatening wounds. The suspect fled. Initial indications are that the shooting was not an active shooter and was not random," Chula Vista police said in a tweet on X, previously known as Twitter.
The investigation is ongoing, and the lockdown at Otay Ranch Town Center has been lifted. At this time, there are no signs of a hate crime or any links to terrorism. The

"The shooting incident is reported to have taken place during a dispute involving two groups. There is no immediate perceived threat to the mall or the neighboring areas. Law enforcement officers are continuing their presence at the scene to collect evidence and ensure the safety of the area," the police department said.
This incident occurred shortly after a tragic shooting in Maine, where 18 people lost their lives.
