has extended the

application deadline

for the 2024 Sepoy/Constable recruitment. Candidates can now apply for the 1,360 available positions until October 30, 2024, whereas the previous deadline was October 13.
According to the official notification issued by the State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha, the extension has been granted due to the

Puja vacations

.

The board also mentioned that an edit/correction window will be available after the registration period ends, with further details to be provided at a later date.
Eligibility Criteria for Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024

Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years old as of January 1, 2024. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for candidates from reserved categories.
Each candidate is permitted to apply under only one battalion, and this selection cannot be changed later, as per the guidelines of

SSB Odisha

.
A minimum qualification of Class 10 (Matriculation) or an equivalent is required to apply for the Constable/Sepoy positions. Additionally, Odia must have been one of the subjects in the Matriculation examination.
Applicants must be Indian citizens of good character, in sound health, and free from any physical deformities or organic defects.

The CBRE will feature 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, with a duration of two hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, while no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
