Om Puri's ex-wife says he apologised to her after affair with Nandita

Om Puri got married to Seema Kapoor in 1991. But soon, he had an

affair

with

Nandita

. At that time, Seema was pregnant and she has written in her

biography

that she left her house. She also suffered a miscarriage. Now in a recent interview, Seema has revealed that Om Puri did apologise to her eventually for whatever he did.
Seema has said in an interview that it was a big deal that Puri apologised to her as he was a star by then and he didn't need to. She also said that she did forgive him. Seema said in an interview with Galatta India, "Mei uss ghar se nikal gayi thi aur maine kaha nai ab zyada hora hai unka affair Nandita ke saath badh gaye the. Mei nai chahti thi mere bachei ko nuksan hoh toh mei chali gayi thi. She came below the building and started doing 'gaali galoch'. Humne unka kuch nahi chheena. Na pehle. Main toh ghar chhod ke aa gayi thi."
She added, "Maine unko badnaam nahi kiya. Aur unki second shadi ke baad unko takleefein ho rahi thi, usmein main joh tha woh paralytic attack hua tha. 1993 ke baad 2005 ya 2006 mei unka phone aata hai aur woh operation ke liye jare thei. (I had left his house when his affair with Nandita got a bit too much. I never wanted that my child should be harmed as I was pregnant. So, I left. After they got married, he got a paralytic attack. His hands were shivering and nerves were damanged. Then after 1993, he directly contacted me in 2005 or 2006 just before he was going to get into an important surgery in London. He apologised to me, right before he went into surgery and said he did wrong to me by also dragging me into court and all."
She further added, "Maafi mangna ek mushkil kaam hai khaaskar ke aap saksham hai woh ek badi baat hai. At that time, he had also become very famous. I also don't keep vengeance. It's not in my nature to not forgive people when someone apologises."

Seema also revealed that Om was not happy as she didn't get the love from his family which he expected so he felt lonely and wondered what he would do in his older days. Thus he had gotten into depression and had even expressed his desire to reconcile with Seema and spend his old days with her. That's when Seema's brother Annu Kapoor intervened and said that why does he want to stay with Seema now? She shared, "My brother said, 'Buddhapa bitaana chahte hai toh yeh maid servant chahiye kya?'" But he just wanted some love and care. We had thought of spending our old days peacefully. But Nandita started taking legal action and harassing us."
