Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon recently spoke about her time working with the late Rishi Kapoor. Poonam recalled how Neetu gradually stepped back from her acting career following her marriage to Rishi

Kapoor.Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were among the most adored on-screen pairs during the 1970s and 80s. After their marriage, Neetu decided to distance herself from the limelight. I attended a wedding and had just entered films, but I didn’t witness their romance, as I wasn’t part of the industry at that time. I saw them later during Doosra Aadmi, because it was a Yash Chopra film with Rakhee.

I attended one or two shootings at Yash ji’s house."

She described the atmosphere as warm and positive, filled with the Kapoor family's generosity. Poonam fondly reminisced about the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Rishi Kapoor’s Chembur residence. She shared that the Kapoor family often served delicious home-cooked Punjabi meals. "His wife was a legendary hostess. But you know that thing continued later when both of them were no more. If you went to his Chembur house, hospitality was always there.

Poonam recounted a moment when she asked Neetu not to serve her too much dal, but Rishi assured her that he would take some of it — and would then scoop the dal from her plate with his hands.
