Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reportedly making his lead stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt burn the midnight oil for his latest film '
Love and War
'. The film, also starring Vicky Kaushal, is steadily moving forward with filming currently underway. According to the latest reports, the lead actors have recently been shooting a series of emotional monologues for the epic romance.
A report on Mid Day states that Kapoor and Bhatt have been spending late nights on the film sets, at the Joker Maidaan in Film City, Goregaon. Bhansali is said to be keen on capturing some rather emotional moments in the film that will reportedly set the stage for these monologues, in a night setting, which will enhance their visual and emotional impact.
Ranbir and Alia have reportedly been filming from 6 pm until sunrise over the past several days. The shoot is expected to go on till the weekend, after which they will begin shooting other portions of the film. The report further adds that several indoor portions of the shoot remain to be filmed.
It has been reported that an elaborate
action sequence
remains to be filmed. The film that is reportedly running a little behind schedule, could look to keep its initial date with the audience, if it wraps up the action scenes by August.
'Love & War' was set to hit the big screen on March 2026, however, recent reports suggested that the movie may premiere on the
Independence Day weekend
in August 2026.
The film not only marks RK and Alia's reunion with Bhansali, but also marks their reunion with co-star Vicky.
