Prabhas

’s latest offering Salaar:

Part 1- Ceasefire

is turning out to be one of the big money spinners at the box office, having collected over Rs 250 crore in India in just 4 days. But the going from here on looks a bit rough for the makers as on Tuesday the film has dropped by nearly 50 %. The film had a lot of expectations riding on it and a certain section of the audience has also loved the film but it is not translating into the box office numbers.

HONEST Public Review of Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan starrer 'Salaar'

Salaar Movie Review
Salaaar opened to a massive Rs 90 crore opening, then dropped to Rs 56 crore on Saturday, saw a spike on Sunday to reach Rs 62 and saw a drop again on Christmas day to collect Rs 46 crore , taking the total to Rs 255.40 crore.

But the moment the holiday period is over, the film dropped by nearly 50 % to collect just Rs 23.50 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk, taking the grand total of the film to Rs 278.90 crore. No one can deny that the Prabhas starrer has achieved good numbers or it has collected in 5 days what many films took weeks to achieve but the general sense is that given the success of

KGF

franchise, even bigger numbers were expected from this one.

Salaar

is all set to displace Tiger 3 from the list of one of the highest grossing films in India this year on Wednesday and will reach the Rs 300 crore mark by the end of the week. It would be interesting to see how much does the film spike over the last weekend of the year, as people would be out celebrating the New Years.
Salaar also stars Tinnu Anand,

Sriya Reddy

,

Shruti Haasan

and Easwari Rao
