Salman Khan launched the trailer of his niece
Alizeh Agnihotri
's (Atul and Alvira Agnihotri's daughter) film '
Farrey
' in Mumbai today. The proud 'mamu' is quite happy with the way the film has shaped up but he revealed at the trailer launch event that his first advice to Alizeh was 'don't act'. When asked about how Alizeh was feeling about joining the industry, the newbie said, "It's a very stressful situation.
You have to say the right things, do the right things. But I'm also very happy. It's a constant back and forth - feeling stressed and happy." Salman laughed and said, "Welcome to the industry."
The 'Tiger 3' actor also shared his feeling about so many newcomers and his niece joining the industry in today's scenario. "As of now, people should make Hindustani content only, going by the films which are doing well. It's also a wrong time to launch Alizeh because of the way films have gone wrong. But, there was Salman Khan in Maine Pyaar Kiya,
Ajay Devgn
in Phool Aur Kaante, Aamir Khan in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Shah Rukh Khan in Deewana. Everyone has come up their way. Every star was once a newcomer. Her destiny is not dependent on the destiny of her first film. If this film does well and after that she gets complacent, then it's gone. But if she works ten times harder, she will come up."
Salman's advice to Alizeh and other newcomers is to not get complacent. "All of you guys, don't get complacent. Just keep working. No matter what, kaam karo. Girlfriend chhod ke chali gayi, boyfriend chhodke chala gaya, yeh ho gaya, woh ho gaya, chaahe kuch bhi hua, you should go to work. (Whatever happens, whether you girlfriend or boyfriend leaves you, or anything happens, you have to go to work everyday). Give your best in those 30 seconds when you're in front of the camera."
The superstar revealed at the trailer launch that 'Farrey' was supposed to be an OTT release first. But here's why he felt it should be a threatical. "It was originally supposed to be an OTT film. But when I saw it, it was so good, then it would have been a waste on OTT, hence we decided to release it in theatres. They've done a fantastic job because of the director. The director is too good, hence we thought it has to release on the big screen."
'Farrey' is directed by Soumendra Padhi and is set to release on November 24.
