Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death has left everyone shocked and numb. At first, reports suggested that the actress died of a cardiac arrest at 42. However, Mumbai police have now said that Shefali was found dead in her Mumbai flat.

Police officers shared that the actress was found dead and her body was then sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem on Friday night. The cause of her death is not yet known.

“Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear," the Mumbai police said, as reported by ANI.

Shefali Jariwala’s final post on X (formerly Twitter) was an emotional tribute to her ‘Bigg Boss 13’ co-contestant and former partner, Sidharth Shukla.

On Sidharth Shukla’s death anniversary, Shefali shared a lovely throwback photo from their ‘Bigg Boss 13’ days. Remembering her former partner with warmth and respect, she wrote, “Thinking of you today mere dost @sidharth_shukla." This post has now gone viral alongside the sad news of her own passing.

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Life, Shefali spoke about their bond and said, “See, initially we bonded and then we had a bad fight. After he came back from the secret room, our equation got better. Both of us are very logical people. Also, we have similar interests, we would talk about travel, space, bullet trains and what not. Even after we stopped dating, we were always cordial whenever we bumped into each other."

Shefali and Sidharth were in a relationship more than 15 years ago. In 2014, she moved on and found lasting happiness with actor Parag Tyagi, who she married in the same year.

Actor Aly Goni shared a short but heartfelt message on his Instagram story, simply writing, “RIP Shefali." Other stars like Rajiv Adatia and Kamya Panjabi also shared how shocked and sad they were over the loss.

Television star Divyanka Tripathi reacted to a social media post about the heartbreaking news and said, “It’s unbelievable. We are shocked and sad for the family."

Shefali's last post on Instagram, just three days before her sudden demise, showed her in a dazzling silver embellished jumpsuit that perfectly highlighted her curves. The outfit had a deep neckline, sheer full-length sleeves, and flared bottoms with vertical shimmer details. Posing confidently under bright studio lights, she looked radiant and fierce. She captioned the post, “Bling it on baby,” words that now feel painfully bittersweet to her fans.

Her final post quickly went viral, with hundreds of shocked followers leaving comments. Many expressed disbelief and sorrow, writing messages such as: “Do anyone know the reason? I guess it’s a prank and wishing it is ! As per several reports, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Friday night by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others. Sadly, hospital staff confirmed she was declared brought dead.

It is widely reported that she passed away due to a cardiac arrest, but the exact reason for her death has not yet been officially shared. A hospital receptionist also said that Shefali had already passed away before she reached the hospital. Her sudden passing has only added to the pain felt by all who loved and admired her.
