Sri Lanka on Friday named a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, scheduled for July 2, 5, and 8. His recent red-ball heroics have underlined his consistency and growing stature in Sri Lanka’s top order.

Milan Rathnayake, who missed the second Test due to injury, has also been included in the ODI squad, although his participation will depend on passing a fitness test.The first two ODIs will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, while the third and final match will shift to Pallekele.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has already announced a strengthened squad for the series, including the return of several senior players, setting the stage for a competitive white-ball contest.
