After a superb performance in the one-off Test match against Australia, Smriti Mandhana made an appearance on the popular TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ alongside cricketer Ishan Kishan. During the show, a fan posed a unique and unexpected question to the left-handed opener, asking her about the qualities she looks for in a partner. Mandhana appeared surprised by the question but was also quick to give a response.
“I did not expect such a question. Accha ladka ho that is very important. He should be caring and understand my sport. That is two major qualities that he should have. Because as a girl I will not be able to give him that much time. That thing he should understand and he should care about. These are the things which are top priority. These are the qualities which I will look in a man,” Mandhana replied.
Mandhana and Kishan were good in the game and they won a prize of ₹12.5 lakh. They decided to exit the game on question number 13, where the potential winnings were ₹25 lakh, as they were not able to answer the question and had utilised all three lifelines.
Their final correct answer, earning them ₹12,50,000, revolved around cricket. The twelfth question was: In the match where Sachin Tendulkar scored his first international century, which Indian cricketer also made his Test debut?
The different options were: Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly, and Javagal Srinath.
After the Test match at Wankhede Stadium, India women’s cricket team will take on Australia in three ODIs scheduled for 28, 30 December and 2 January. All these matches will take place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
