After Deepika Padukone's exit from 'Spirit', the 8-hour work shift has been a topic of discussion within all industries. As per reports, Deepika had demanded an 8-hour shift and not more than that as she's now a mother and has to balance the time between her work and baby.
As this has sparked a discussion, now Sonakshi Sinha has also reacted to it. The actress is gearing up for the release of her movie 'Nikita Roy' on June 27.Sonakshi spoke about the eight hour work shift during her chat with India Today, "I’m all for it." She added, "I’ve worked with actors who don’t work beyond eight hours. So, I don’t see why it should be any different for female actors as well."She explained further, "It also depends on the requirements of the project and all.
You can schedule it in a way where you accommodate those hours. There are a lot of other things to shoot with other people, which you can finish off in the same time. I think it’s very achievable."The 'Dabangg' actress stated, "I’ve been working for 15 years, and there have been other actors who have worked less than me, longer than me. That’s fine. But like, you do need time for yourself beyond the shoot as well." Sonakshi further said that if one is working for 8 hours only, they would also be able to devote time to other things which are related to their work only. For instance, working out when required for a role."If I don’t need to do that, I’ll give you 12 hours happily. I’ll give you 10 hours happily. But where it’s not required, then I’m sure adjustments can be made," she said.
