In the latest episode, episode 8, featuring a cast led by Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Seol In Ah, and Shin Eun Soo, the show achieved an average nationwide viewership rating of 3.1 per cent. While this marked a slight decrease from the previous episode, which had a 3.6 percent rating, ‘Twinkling Watermelon’ remains a strong contender in its time slot.

Set in 2023, ‘Twinkling Watermelon’ narrates the story of a high school student named Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun), who loves music. By day, he's a good student, and by night, he plays guitar in a band. One day, he discovers a mysterious music store and is suddenly sent back in time to 1995. There, he meets his father, Ha Yi Chan (Choi Hyun Wook), who is a high school student at the time. However, his father doesn't recognize him and seems to have a crush on someone else, who is not his mother. Eun Gyeol tries to fix things by joining his father's band but wonders if he can bring his parents together and find a way back to the 2020s.
As ‘Twinkling Watermelon’ continues to captivate viewers with its storyline and characters, another drama, ‘The Matchmakers’, is set to make its premiere on KBS2. Scheduled to air on October 30 at 9:45 p.m. KST, ‘The Matchmakers’ will follow ‘
