Tamil Nadu NMMS 2025: Eligibility

The TN NMMS is specifically designed for Class 8 students studying in Tamil Nadu government, government-aided, or local body schools. To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a household income of less than ₹3,50,000 per annum.

Tamil Nadu NMMS 2025: Exam pattern & syllabus

The question paper for the Tamil Nadu NMMS exam will be based on the syllabi of Classes 7 and 8 and is divided into two sections: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Abilities Test (SAT). Each section consists of 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and has a duration of 90 minutes. The MAT evaluates students' verbal and non-verbal metacognitive skills, including reasoning and critical thinking, while the SAT assesses knowledge in science, social studies, and mathematics.
